Hell of a run. Honestly if we don't get a national seed...I hope we are paired with Texas Tech...assuming they still get a national seed according to the last projections I saw. Maybe it's just the fact that I live in Midland and I could totally make the games, but I think that would be a more than favorable pairing. Yes I know...focus on the regional but I'm just sayin.

Agree. The announcers made a statement to the effect that the difference between the Tigers and Gators was razor thin. Never would have thought six weeks ago how true this statement is. Such a young team, primed to make a run. Also, excited to see that LSU has more arms than previously thought.

I'm actually kind of glad they didn't seem to blow their load early, so to speak. That had happened the last few years and then they fell flat on their face. They have two more weekends in which two of three is acceptable, and then it's balls to the wall (until the championship series).

I don't think there is anything more that could have been gained by winning yesterday and winning today. I still don't think they will be a Top 8 but even if they won the SECT I don't think that would have happened.
Amazing 6-7 weeks ago there was a legit concern that not only LSU would not host a regional, but they might not even get into the field of 64. Now, we are complaining about being a Top 8.
I said this all along. Team was young, very young, and it was going to take time to get it together. Tournament play is a different beast. Maybe we make it to Omaha, maybe not, but considering where this team was earlier in the season, you have to say this has been a success.
Now, next year, if we don't lose too much to the draft, we should be loaded.

If you play any team enough you will drop a few. Just the way baseball works. Beating the #1 team 3/5 in two weeks is a great run
