We just need to start new and put out OUR guy that we can grow for the next 4 years. Etling has proven he's a good SEC backup but in no way the quality starter we need.

I'm sure you said this about Lee, Jennings, Harris, Etling, and will continue to insert every backup qb that hasn't taken a live snap into this sentence.

Lindsey Scott. He will be a four year starter most likely. Dude is the most talented QB on the roster right now.

New coach means it will almost certainly be an open competition.

Know how I know you've never watched him throw in pregame warmups?

Guy hasn't had a meaningful college snap since he got here. How do you assume it's his job to lose?

I don't see how you can say McMillan is the answer next season when he hasn't played any meaningful snaps for us to even form an opinion about him.

No he will not. Scott is better than Brennan. If Scott wasn't 5'10 he would've been a 5 star QB.

Scott has knowledge of the game, poise, technique, etc that just isn't taught. He just gets how to play QB and creates when he has to.

You're clueless . I see it as wide open with Scott being in the mix w Ettling and Harris . Depending on coach and scheme Brennan could be the guy by mid season

If the coaches thought it was going to be McMillan's spot to lose he would be getting playing time right now. I think it will be Etling's spot to lose and that he will lose it to Brennan.

I keep hearing people talk him up but there's walk on that look better than him in warmups. Every 3 balls he threw was uncatchable and to me his release looks really long. Scott however, throws a pretty ball and we know he can run if the next coach wants to implement some zone reads. Ellington will be the QB next year but don't sleep on Scott for the '18 season.

Harris beats out Etling. They both missed open receivers. Harris threw too high. Etling threw behind or to the ground on open wrs. The idea that Etling is much better than Harris is based on slightly better playcalling and some inferior defenses Etling has faced.

Not so FAST...
I think we have 2 guys coming in next year that will both be better than McMillan...Scott would be the best choice of the upper class guys...
Also, there is a need and want for better O- line play, or there be no improvement in our offensive struggles against teams like bama...

I have way more confidence now, than I did 6 weeks ago, that all our QBs will be evaluated better. Coach O made it clear that Danny is their guy for this season, and I think we are in good shape for the next three games. I see everyone getting a fair opportunity to show their skill in the off-season.
