Hope we get hot? When is the last time we have been hot in June?

PM is one of the worst things that has ever happened to LSU. He is so overrated it isn't even funny.

But what's worse are our fans accepting this mediocrity. We (were) the Kentucky of basketball, the Bama of football. Now all you hear is that the game has changed and blah blah blah. Well if that is so, and we are supposed to just accept this mess, why the frick would anyone want to go to the games anymore?

I will put my 401k on the line and bet that I could do as well as PM. I would hire the best possible people I could find and that, along with the resources, fan base, tradition and everything else going for LSU, I could coach them to mediocrity.

And thats the bottom line. A coach is supposed to be THE ONE that figures out how to navigate the current circumstances and rise above the rest. PM is not doing that and he had everything he could possibly want or need. He is not a difference maker. So why continue with this trash?

Well I can promise you this team isn't going 53-9 so there goes that option

I'm just confused on the pitching decisions and pulls

Then you know that LSU benefitted more from the wind than Tulane. Paps ball didn't even make the bleachers...

I see other teams with bigger stronger players. Smoke made it to Omaha, so he wasn't as bad as he's made out to be. He was lazy, just like Paul was in 2010.
How many Mahtooks, Landry's, Dean's, have we seen the past 5-6 years? We lack athletes.

Dean wasnt much of an athlete.

Landry wasnt a good hitter, we have had plenty of his types.

Mahtook is a rare breed.

Dean was the most clutch batter we've had since Walker and had some pop. Landry was better than what we see now.
I don't mind being a station to station, team IF we actually could do it, but it ain't happening right now.

Tyler moore was as clutch.
Landry was like a career .280 hitter, no way.

What team has all these big boppers thats winning in omaha? I dont see them

Tyler Moore as clutch as Blake Dean? Those two or three games don't equal what Dean did.

You've lost what little credibility you had.

Put your head back in the sand, you're embarrassing yourself.

I'm sorry, I don't deal with hypotheticals. I see real time results and those results have been shite since 2009. Mainieri's brand of baseball sucks and lacks any and all logic. You can't base this year's baseball team off of what other baseball teams did in the past. It doesn't matter if we go undefeated all the way until the CWS, if we don't win the whole thing, it was all for nothing. This is LSU baseball, we've built this program to what it is by one thing and one thing only. And that is winning championships. Let FSU have the regular season championships, I want the only one that matters. And anybody who thinks otherwise is a shitty fan who accepts mediocrity.

We have to look all the way back to 2016 to find the last team with big, home run hitters to win in all at the CWS.

To hear many "LSU baseball fans" talk, you have to believe that winning a CWS title is all luck. "Too much parity in college baseball now", "That's just baseball", "We didn't get hot at the right time"...

If it's all luck, why do we invest so much money into the coaching staff and facilities?

If winning the CWS is all luck then by god, Skip Bertman had a golden horsehoe up his arse for the entirety of his career here. I'd also argue that there was more parity in college baseball before now.

It's a loser mentality.

Its not all luck, you have to position yourself well during the season and hosting regionals alot. But usually once you get to the supers, the talent level is close to even, then usually the hottest teams make a run.
