Just heard on 104.5 that they were two years apart at Cal Lutheran in college and were actually roommates for a time...

Aside from Aranda being one of the brightest young defensive minds in college football, seems like this was at least a factor in bringing in Aranda.

Bright young offensive mind with bright young defensive mind...dangerous combo

Money would lure Herman and he could've just hired Aranda.

Considering it was Miles who hired Aranda, I would say the answer is no.

Add to your theory. Miles effected this plan because he will step down at the end of the season and accept the position of LSU Athletic Director. It was a masterful plan.

You really think anyone in the LSU administration has the mind to play such a long game? Anyone?

I wish he would.

He was brought in because he's among the very best.

What he did at Utah St. in 1 year was awesome.

Sure. That's just what Les had in mind when he contacted Aranda's agent the day after Steele resigned.

This is almost as stupid as the idea that Saban hired Sark to keep him from LSU.
