... what a complete cluster !! If you are gonna advertise a pre game party, please be somewhat prepared for people to show up !!
Dallas Alumni Chapter.. please redeem yourself in September for the Oregon game.

What exactly was the problem you are referring to? We advertised that the capacity was 800-850. Unfortunately due to tailgating restraints at Cowboys Stadium, TABC hurdles to get through, a compressed time frame, and the fact that all the work we do is 100% volunteer work, we felt it was a successful party.
That having been said, LSU Oregon will be a much larger venue over by the Ballpark - an outdoor pavilion, kegs of beer, our own cooking, etc. We hope to be able to host 2,000 people or more.

It was AWESOME ! U should've gotten there earlier. We got there early, had great seats, ate breakfast and lunch. Music was great after the radio show. Thanks for the hard work.

well...we waited an hour to get into the place and then were told it would be a 3 hour wait for food/a table...
If you wanted a drink...that was a 30 min wait too....won't do that again

We know that it wasn't exactly the perfect "tailgate", but we have 10 people on our board of directors and with the $$ that we have available and the compressed time frame with the holidays, it was the best we could get together for a large number of people.
Expect a much better tailgate for the LSU Oregon game - we'll have more resources and time to plan.

There wasn't a bar within driving distance of the stadium that was fully prepared for LSU yesterday.

This. After the Humperdink's cluster, we went to a Buffalo Wild Wings within 4 blocks of the stadium, could have parked there for free (as opposed to paying the $80 for parking near the stadium) and it was FULL of LSU fans...

I don't blame Dallas alumni group. Humperdink's was not prepared for the LSU crowd. We ate lunch there today and talk with a waitress about Friday. She said they had never seen anything like it. Seems like they expected a crowd but nothing like what they got!

I don't think it reflects at all on the Dallas Alumni group....I think Humperdink's screwed the pooch

Once we got in, we had a great time. I appreciated the Dallas Alumni Chapter putting that together.
One bit of advice I would have for Humperdinks, though....tickets to the shuttle is a waste of time...just collect $10 as a person boards the shuttle and give them a ticket. No need for a seperate "shuttle ticket" line IMO. I would also recommend that Humperdinks section of an outdoor area for overflow crowd with bar, etc, for people that have to wait or can't fit indoors.
Anyway, it was fun. Like I said, if you were patient and finally got in and settled, it was great and obviously packed full of LSU fans.
For the person complaining about waiting 3 hours for a drink, that's a flat out lie. Drink service was actually pretty quick for as crowded as it was IMO.

Are ya'll talking about Englebert?

Yep! He retired from music and brews a mean ale! My wife got his autograph.

This happens everywhere Tiger fans go. The bar is told to expect a flood of people that drink more than the average patron and they think they are prepared, but they are not.
