HUGE difference between this years team vs. last year

Last year LSU was solid on defense, had pitching that pretty much equals this year....BUT we can bail out a bad pitching performance with the bats this year. This may be the difference in beating Stony Broke's arse in the Super this year on our way to making a run at the title in Omaha.

Pitching was slightly better last year but the bats and fielding are so much better this year.

I hope, but anything can happen in Omaha. Vandy and UNC are probably saying the same thing.
Vandy will be tough. If history tells us anything about UNC, they may not even make the CWS despite how good they are. Either that or they will be enjoying a 2 and BBQ while we battle it out with the rest of the SEC teams in Omaha for the NC.
