I'm thinking that LSU wins some what comfortably, but the penalties and undisciplined play only slightly improves? Either way, LSU fans are going to bitch about something: not winning by enough, why is the opposing team's running back gaining almost a hundred yards against us, etc.

I think those poor bastards are going to get punished. this isn't going to be a lovefest like our game at Syracuse. there's going to be some LSU players fighting for their job.

We better box out against that 2-3 zone if we want a chance.

Rebound? Basketball season already? No.

I think the real question is how does LSU recover?

I think play improves, but some of the issues cannot be fixed that quickly (line depth, dropped passes, etc.). If penalties/undisciplined play are an issue against Syracuse, they will likely continue to be an issue most of the season. Of course the rant will complain, it's not enough to just win against Syracuse, need to see improvement across the board.

Florida will be the next real test. I mean we shouldn't struggle with Syracuse and Troy , who gives a shite if we beat the hell out of them.

We won't have any targeting penalties but will still have illegal shift or illegal formation. We will continue to see useless pre snap motion that won't confuse Syracuse at all and we will most likely just out muscle them with the run game and win by a few touchdowns.

We won't see any work on the passing game and all of the O apologists will scream "10% of the play card" and "why show SEC teams what we can do, we don't need to practice passing in game situations."

I hope I am dead wrong, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for any true changes.

Will give us a lot of false hope unfortunately b/c we can push around a little opponent.

Once SEC play resumes,

I hope Oeaux can right the ship though but will be tough in a 2 week span to change a whole culture.

We win big. The guys will be pissed. But it will tell us nothing about how good or bad we are.

Beating Syracuse and Troy will not give me any false hope. Florida is the real test!

With their tempo and the injury/suspension situation, our DL is likely to be gassed this week. The defense will really need some 3 & outs.

At least we'll let Justin Thomas dress this week so there's one extra body while Farrell has to sit in the first half.
