How to fix Etling's deep ball?

It is a mess. Can it be fixed with more comfort? Mettenberg had a terrible deep ball in 2012 and was great in 2013. I feel like Etling can't be this bad at it, but then again, Harris should be able to complete a 10 yard pass and he can't.
QB gurus of the Rant: How could he get this fixed? I think if he can, the sky is the limit with this team.
Thoughts?

He's afraid of throwing it short and getting it picked. He has to develop trust in his wideouts.

we certainly have the extremes covered...just need someone to become the total package, though.

What he's doing right now is just fine
I would spend an extra time specifically with Chark to get the timing down right
The guy can blaze

I see this too. At least he's erring on the side of caution. He's a smart kid who knows the game well, he just needs to keep getting more comfortable and developing

He's not really consistent with the deep ball problems one way or the other. He's had his share of over throws and under throws.

More practice reps. Knowing where the receiver will be and being able to drop it in the basket. It will come.

Put Harris in to throw it deep I'm sorry. I made myself laugh.

Practice and confidence.
In the meantime I'm okay with needing improvement on the deep ball instead of improvement throwing to the guy running a 5 yard out.

How is this getting downvotes?
It is a football question and I wasn't being negative.

I would take his passes within 25 yards against his lackluster deep ball all day. The short ball accuracy is much more imprison m important worth the offense lsu has. It would be nice but hey, Brandon Harris had a solid deep ball. We saw how often that worked in our favor.

Put Donte in for the go routes. If he over throws him, he's a lost cause.

Practice, practice, practice
He has WR with different speed and he needs to go out in the back yard and throw some passes like when he was a kid and they will start dropping in the bread basket. I think he was a bit shy knowing the pressure was coming and he was throwing not set. When he can start to trust his protection and step into his deep throws he will be fine. Heck, he hit Smith on his first TD and hit him perfect.

Memory foam inserts in his cleats should do it.

I bet you Harris would be great in the Ensminger offense.

Seems to be a confidence thing. There isn't really a consistent problem other than the fact that few are remotely accurate. For instance, he had plenty of time here and there were only 2 routes being run. The TE on the wheel route is the open guy, but the throw is late and well behind him. Should have been a TD.
It really doesn't make much sense because he doesn't seem to have the same hesitation on other routes.

Well, he's only had two games as the starter.
