How sweet it would be if
Posted by SwampBandit on 10/13/16 at 10:44 pm323
After all the things the state of Louisiana and LSU has been through this year, We run the table against all ranked opponents, go to the SECCG and blow the socks off whoever we play then get in the playoffs. I don't want to jump the gun early because we have only seen one game under coach o against a mediocre team but it was night and day compared to watching the Les Miles offense we seen for a decade! I think with the fire coach o has in these players it is possible and I know he has explained to them that this isn't over and there is still a chance. I know it is going to take a lot but I sure hope they can do it for the state of Louisiana and Mike! I mean come on we have a majestic beast of a guardian angel watching over this team now! I hope they let it eat and open up a can of whoop arse on everybody and show that they are the team that they were expected to be before the season started!

Nothing wrong with being optimistic. I like it!

Let's not forgot we were supposed to win it all along before the season. People know talent wise were the real deal. If it comes together people are in trouble. It's s new season were undefeated as far I know.

It all sounds sweet to me! Not bitter at all.

LSU has the talent to do it. Ole Miss will be the first, real test. If LSU holds them to 21 points or under, I think they win.

I love the optimism but a 2 loss LSU isn't getting in a playoff.

I'm okay with not getting into the playoffs at this point, as long as we frick it up for the UF and the Gumps.

I figured I would start a topic other than griping about the Florida cluster and so on and give everyone a spark of something to hope for and get excited about

I think if the demolish whoever they play they have to at least consider us but we all know nobody likes LSU and we will probably just be a bad arse team with a decent bowl of it happens but hey it doesn't hurt to hope

In this situation we'd play Tennessee in the SEC championship game if they lose to Bama then win out?

I don't think LSU wins out, but a 2-loss SEC champ is almost a shoe-in for the playoff.
Hell, a 2-loss SEC champ got in when it was a 2-team playoff. Definitely getting into a 4-team playoff after/during the SEC's run of dominance.
Big12/Pac12 are the conferences that have to worry about their champ getting left out... The SEC doesn't have to worry about that.
Furthermore, LSU would be an interesting case anyway because some would look at LSU as "undefeated" in the "new" season, if that makes sense.
Again, I don't think LSU will win out, but if they do LSU will definitely be in the playoff.

I think we have to win out and run up the score on whoever we can.
