How Out-of-Touch is the LSU Admin with the Fanbase?

IMO, they're somewhat out of touch but it gets distorted as long ticket sales are good.
They don't realize they we buy tickets not because of what they do but in spite of what they do.

In all honesty, probably the same amount that our fans are out-of-touch with reality.

I thought you were calling out the great TD admins at first

As good a job that Alleva did at Duke, he really doesn't fit the personality of LSU.

Do they really have to care? They are going to sell the tickets and make the money regardless. If someone doesn't renew they have 5 people in line to buy.

Dude. They are putting a lot of effort into building a killer stadium, are in good contact with the fanbase (emails, letters & updates, etc.), have built great facilities for the athletes and are in the process of trying to work with parking solutions for the fans. Vending is always expensive (eat before you enter the stadium and use the water fountain).
What is it you want and offer a solution. Everyone needs to quit bitching because there is no (very slim) shot at a championship this year.
This is another thread that would not exist but for the way the season has gone. The way the team has played. Blame is not needed in life. We live in the Age of Entitlement. Its pathetic.

A good sized portion of the fan base doesn't understand, or care to understand, all that goes into running an athletic department or a game day atmosphere.
Most are purely concerned with how they are personally effected. There are definitely mistakes made, but at the same time, a large number of the fans don't want anything to change ever. They want to be able to park for free right next to the stadium and go directly to their seats, which cost as much as they did 15 years ago. Oh, and they want to win a championship every year, and believe anything less is unacceptable.

You do realize they hire consulting firms to provide research on these ticket prices vs. what the market will bear, right?

This is a joke, right?
Ask the Duke LAX team how good of a job he did there

IMO, the fact that the Board of Supervisors took the Ticket price increase off of their agenda tells me that they are in touch with the fanbase. Whether or not Joe Alleva is IDK. I also think that Les is pretty well grounded in his community. I know for a fact that in 2010 after the Tenn game when everyone was soo pissed off (similar to how we are now after the OM game) Les was sweating. He knew that the fans weren't happy with him at all.

That guy millions of dollars in his bank account.
If I was Miles, I wouldn't give two fricks what a bunch "fans" thought. Much less Joe Alleva.

quote:Again, disagree with this point as well. We want to be able to drive and park right off campus without having to tailgate to get a good spot, and see cops out there moving traffic with what seems like a plan of action. Right now, the whole traffic situation is more fricked up than a screen door on a submarine. And it's strictly because of lack of planning. It's just a dive right in and let's see what happens approach - and you get a clusterfrick of stagnant traffic sitting there like pond water.
