Don't need specific ages... just curious.

I'm in my late 30s.

I remember the 89-94 seasons when I was a kid. I remember going to games (a lot of games weren't on tv) hearing my dad say we had no chance to win. I remember getting excited for the A&M game only to get curb stomped year after year.

I only ask because there are so many comments on the rant and on the score board about how this is the worst LSU has ever been, it's never been this bad, how can it be this bad, etc.

I just hope most of y'all are too young to remember the really bad days of LSU football.

Over the course of our history, we sucked a lot more than we didn't. Winning is no guarantee, no birthright.

We haven't had a losing season since 1999. No other SEC team can say that. I hate to say it... but the glory days of the program might be over for a while.

I remember beating #1 Florida then losing to Ole Miss and thinking we would never get over the hump.

Not old enough for what I've heard was the dark days, but been a tiger fan as far back as my first memories, born in 91' and and remember back to about 96' when Faulk began his career here and the Indy bowl was a big deal.
Of course being a 5 year old I didn't understand all the aspects of the game, but I do remember when we lost, which was quite often back then, it felt like my entire world was crashing down.
But for the most part, I know I've been spoiled as a fan considering Saban came I think in 2000, when I was 9..

I'm 44. I was a sophomore at LSU IN 1992 when we were 2-9. I'm acutely aware of how bad it can get. It's not that bad yet.
But... the golden era of LSU football is over.

Mid 50s... remember the oranges being thrown vs Florida State then losing to Tulane the next week. Rollercoaster ride

Remember when the speed limit was 55 and it took 5 hours to get to BR instead of the 4 1/2 that it takes now.

I remember those times. I don't want to go back there. The bottom line is, this is the worst we've looked since those times. And we've been on a decline. All some of us are doing is simply pointing that out. It's the reality. And the potential is so far above the current results. There's no disputing that. We deserve better.

Why can't we turn this around?

In 1992, we didn't have 2 stud quarterbacks in waiting or the talent that we have right now that are freshmen and sophomores.

Old enough to get some senior citizen discounts at some golf courses and I like my new over 50 vitamins.

Saw my first game in '70. As I said in another thread, for those who missed the Curly era, you're getting a good taste of what it was like.
