How often have the following been used to excuse a bad loss?

1. It's baseball

2. The opponent "is hot"

3. The opponent is "actually a good program"

These excuses from the fanbase are getting worn out under Marinara.

It is baseball -that is the sport I am watching is it not.

Coastal Carolina is hot right now-they only lost three games in conference swept their conference tourney and on a regional on the road.

Coastal Carolina is actually a good program-they have been a national seed in the past and have been to super regionals recently.

None of these are excuses for losing the game but they are reasons why they did eventually win the game. LSU is not done and this team will fight til the bitter in. Buckle up grab a beer and enjoy the ride. Win or lose this team has been fun to watch this year but I don't think it ends tonight.

They are a much better coached team. Disciplined on the bases and know their job with runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 or no outs.

I won't say they are better coached but they are taught to follow the coaches around the bases. Seems like Paul thinks because you are playing at LSU, you can choose when to stop at second or third on your own.

Idk but I can live with losing to a better team, and that is what happened last night.

Knowing your job and executing your job are two different things. You think CPM is not telling them they need to get that runner home from 3rd in any way possible. There are parts of this team that aren't coached well but your example is a player execution problem not a coaching problem.

They are coached up better than our team. They know how to move runners over and we don't.

Coastal should have been a regional host and in discussion for a national seed. Very good team and one that can beat any team in the nation and has a very good chance to win it all.

Tigers just got beat by a damn good team. LSU made some mistakes and Coastal took advantage, that's what good teams do. Nothing more than that.

If it's a player execution issue then why do we have the same issues nearly every season? Why do these players exhibit the same problems that last year's team had when it's a new roster?
