How much the SEC has changed since I was a student at LSU

I was a student from 2001-2006. Pretty much the height of LSU football. I remember not caring at all about the Bama game because it was just assumed we would win. The best games were against Georgia, Tennessee, and of course Florida (had a professor who offered 50 bonus points if anyone would rush the field and steal Spurriers visor). The SEC I knew was built by The Ole Ball Coach, Fat Fulmer, Mark Richt, Tommy Tuberville, Nick Saban and Les Miles. If you lost to Miss State you got Croomed. This was the beginning of the SEC dominance and if Miles and Richt get fired at the end of this season the last man standing will be Saban. He is likely retiring in the next few years and when he does the SEC will be just a shell of the exciting and fun place it was.

obviously you're not very familiar with BERT. He's classic SEC. Also it's a shame Coach O's probably leaving for Syracuse, I'd love having his antics around SEC media days.

Yep during those times Auburn was a much bigger game than Bama. Thatll always be the "golden days" for me 2003-1/9/12. I loved beating those out of conference teams arse every year in bowl games Miami, Notre dame(06), A&M, Georgia Tech, and of course Ohio St.

Damn. I was a student from '85-'90. Trust me, the SEC will be bringing the pain for many years to come.

Maybe, but I doubt it will have that many characters as coaches

I always thought the most entertaining games not involving LSU came from watching Auburn. Usually a very competitive bunch over the years

God that was great. Damn near every team could compete. Might not have had the best team in the country, but the conference was so deep.
