I was surprised at the combine results. Without singling out one person. The results definitely hurt some of these guys. The expectations of the fans did not match the production on the field. We did not have a Glenn Dorsey on the defensive line. None of our receivers exceeded expectations. The very slow times of the tight ends and receivers was disappointing. Some of the players not drafted were back ups. Who earned a higher grade?

Combine killed Godcheaux. If he had an above average combine, or posted measurable close to what people expected, I'm convinced he goes in 3-4 round at worst. His tape over two years was good, his measurables were disappointing.

Combine helped Riley. Probably helped Fournette and Adams but both were going to be high picks regardless. I don't think it hurt anyone but Godchaux.

Dupre's sorry arse season is what hurt him, not his combine.

Combine is not the end all be all.
Teams study a lot of tape of their entire career.
Teams bring in guys for private workouts to resolve any questions a combine might provide.
Teams go to pro days.

It's a combo of a lot of pieces coming together.

If it wasnt for the combine, dupre probably goes undrafted

he's physically gifted, and that was evident from his combine workouts

his tape was shite

Down vote for a terrible understanding of the English language.

And the interviews have a bigger impact on a player's draft stock than the actual performance on the field at the combine.

Of course unless a player shows up unprepared and over weight. That would hurt but more on a character basis than performance. Shows a lack of responsibility or willingness to prepare.

What about the 40 times posted by one of the tight ends and wide receiver? Very slow times and very disappointing.
