How many times do you think Auburn will stop the game v. LSU today?

I'm going with 10+.

ETA: I'm talking about those "meeting in the circle" moments. You can throw catcher/pitcher in there as well if you want.

this is one of the reasons softball (and baseball, at all levels) needs a specific number of "timeouts" per team. The pace of the game is already slow, and is slowed down much further by batters stepping out of the box, pitcher/catcher meetings, infield meetings, etc. And in baseball, pitching changes take far too much time.

And yes, I'm hugely in favor of a pitch clock, which already exists in MLB but isn't enforced.

Also I hope we don't swing at a lot of 1st pitch garbage. I believe we did that a lot against Auburn last series.

Let's go ahead and start threads on the following subjects:

"Over under on holding non-calls for Bama game"

"How bad the permanent cross divisional game is for LSU and how it benefits Bama"

"How many penalties will Rogers redding call against lsu this year?"

So if a catcher and pitcher want to have a meeting on the mound before every pitch, you think that should be allowed???

If you say yes, you're nuts.

If you say no, then you agree with me, although I'm sure we'd have a disagreement over the number of timeouts permitted.

They had a 45 min delay after an injury because their coach wanted to play the rest of the game under protest. So they got some rule books out and eventually ruled on the play(which was runners advancing on a ball that was thrown away).

Almost backfired on them because their pitcher got cold and started giving up runs.

so to answer the question yeah probably alot.

For Auburn, it starts as something seemingly innocent, then as they begin to part ways, Corey or Clint Myers will slowly make their way to the circle and continue to speak for what seems like 3-5 solid minutes.

Drags on the game.

I don't know. I'm more concerned with auburn's bats. They got some real monsters on that team.
