How many people would be happy if we hired a new coach with this resume?

-28-21 overall record in 4 years with no prior experience as a head coach
-16-16 conference record in the Big 12
-1-2 bowl record (missed a bowl in his first season as head coach after going 4-7)
-0 conference championships
-0 national championships
-Has spent 14 out of 17 years of his coaching career as an OL or TE coach
-Only other major coaching gig was 3 years as an offensive coordinator in which his team went well below .500 in those 3 years
-Coming off of a 7-5 season. He's also never won more than 9 games
-On top of that, he's in the middle of an investigation because former players are accusing him of running a dirty program

For those of you saying that there's no way that we can find a coach with a better resume than Miles, this is it. Pretty unimpressive when you take away the years in which he's had all of the resources and talent on earth to succeed isn't it?

Add a 0-30 loss in his last game.

I want Art Briles as the next head coach. He's not scared to put 6 lineman in to run the ball

He built Oklahoma state up from some. ad years. Ya its probaly time for a change but those of you who want to give him ant credit for anything ever are kinda sad.

Gundy who alot of love on hete gets credit for taking over job miles did base construction for while miles still gets minimal credit cause took what saban built.
You can advocate for a change without acting like hes nevetlr had good seasons

I remember sitting inside the Citrus Bowl (Saban's last game) when the news of the new hire spread through the crowd. "You've got to be kidding, right?" sums it up pretty nicely.

Gundy took OSU beyond what Miles could.

frick i hate having to defend him today because idiots will miscontrue me defending him now...but if you told me day they hired him we would win multiple sec titles and appear in multiple title games and ue woild be most wins in lsu history who wouldnt sign that dotted line?

How many of the hot new coaches does the rant say is better and we need but they flame out in year or 2. Easy to keep screaming for new coach when you get infinite guessed and when wrong you just move to next hot candidate.

Grundy improved on everything miles did. Miles has been treading water for like 5 years now

Go look at what osu's records were before he got there. Then tell me he didn't accomplish anything. He also won more games with sabans players than saban did.

Which proves many coaches given the embarrassment of riches left by Saban/Emmert built, would likely have done this well.

Ok.....are you saying that there aren't other coaches out there who have taken a program from bad to winning an average of 7.5 games a season? I'm not saying it's unimpressive but that resume sure as hell isn't irreplaceable for one of the best jobs in the country

He took a terrible program (1 winning record in 12 years before miles )and in 1 recruiting cycle had them a ton better. Cant say how high it could have went but 8 wins a year when year 1 was compleye rebuild isnt bad at all

Actually that was a typo, it was 6.5 wins a year. But answer the question, are there not a ton of coaches out there with equally or more impressive resumes?

LSU lost 5 games last year. 3 the year before that. 3 the year before that. That last year for Saban wasn't a good year and it was still what Miles has done the last 3 years.
