How many of you still feel the Saban jilt?

I felt it until our 2010 win over them. Since then, he's just any other coach to me. Still appreciate what he did for us but Les won me over after that win and in my opinion, surpassed Saban at LSU.

It never felt like a jilt, exactly. I wished him the best of luck in the NFL.
It was more like a mutual breakup with a girl who decided to move to another state who then moves back to date marry that guy you both supposedly despised.

I've always thought of a jilt as being dumped by a current girlfriend for someone else or for nor good reason. Not an ex subsequently hooking up with somebody.

I never felt it, because he went to the NFL, and it was apparently something he wanted to do. I wished him the best at the time.

4.9 million a year -tell me you wouldn't take the Miami job.He should've stayed in most our eyes . His national championship count would be ridiculous. Just so happens when he left Miami, the gumps were looking. He is the enemy now. But he is a great coach. Les is our guy and has my respect

The way he left for the NFL was irksome, but I still wished the best for him.
I got over him being at Bama after 07, and I like it now because it adds a more personal dimension to this rivalry that has been one of the best and most hyped in the country since his arrival at Bama.

Debatable, but he is one of the best. He was a prick I didn't like when he coached here, now he is a prick that coaches Alabama. Never really a jilt, just went from a prick I appreciated, to a prick I dispise.

Never had a problem with his leaving. Clearly Saban is a guy that wants to pursue his profession at the highest level. The problem was how he left and that he really fricked LSU over with the timing of his departure. He could have handled that much better than he did. It worked out in the end for us though.

The only things I held against him was that after every season he was job shopping via Sexton. He could have timed the departure better so that we could have had more time to look for a head coach (i.e. Spurrier - who probably wished he had waited a couple of weeks instead of signing USC-e).Also, it reading his unauthorized bio, Matt Mauck indicated that he left a year early because he got tired of trying to play his best for a coach who he felt never appreciated him. I am glad we had him for a bit, but it was also time for him to go. Just wish the timing would have been better.
