The fans who actually know who LF is are most likely already going.
The majority of LSU fans dont know hardly anything about recruiting

I took that photo when I was in Antarctica in 2011. That's our icebreaker ship seen in the distance on the other side of an iceberg that flipped over leaving an ice arch sticking up out of the water. Below is a larger view of it.
I was returning from shore in a Zodiac inflatable shuttle boat.

I'm sure more casual fans know about him more than the other 5* recruits LSU has signed in the past, but any casual fan that doesn't go on Tigerdroppings or doesn't listen to local radio probably doesn't know

They'd also have to avoid the nightly news and the newspaper and any local websites and people.

Fair enough, maybe the coverage is different elsewhere.
But in BR, I can't tell you how many random people that don't ever follow recruiting, or even sports in general, have asked me about or tried to talk to me about LF.
