How many expected to win a NC this year?

Most opinion polls I saw considered 10-2 record a good accomplishment. Yes playing Alabama with the same game plan every year is frustrating but we can still do better than expectations before the season started. Let's focus on the remaining games and recruiting.

This is a tired, stupid argument. Expectations change when you see what a team is capable of. This team is capable of making the playoff and winning the championship.
Before the season, we had too many unknowns to think we would sniff a championship.

expectations adjust as circumstances change, just because we were expected to do one thing doesn't mean we shouldn't be disappointed about losing to Bama once again. Especially when that loss was due to a simply God awful game plan.
I can swallow losing to Bama because it is a great program. The losses are harder to take when we go into the game with one hand tied behind our back due to the game plan.

I actually expected LSU to beat Alabama. The offensive game plan last year with Jennings was better than what LSU did Saturday.
11-1 was what I thought LSU could do this year. I expected LSU to go 3-1 in the final four games with a loss to either Ole Miss or Texas AM.
Now I am concerned about LSU tanking and getting swept.

I fully expected us to be in the hunt. Figured we were a 2 or 3 loss team. I didn't expect fornette and the oline to be as good as they have been.
I expect an incredible defense next year and a very good year from Fournette. We should be contenders again.

Thought it was an outside possibility but knew Bama stood in the way.

I think the expectations were reasonable at the start of the year but, as if often the case when a team runs off an unbeaten streak, they became blown out of proportion.
I never really saw this team as a ultra powerhouse team this year. We had some really good wins against teams like MSU and Florida. But we had weakness here and there and in my mind never really looked overwhelmingly dominant like some teams in the past have looked.
I think going 7-0 brought out a lot of bandwagoners and led to a lot of trash talking that was maybe not warranted.
Really, these next three weeks will show exactly how good of a team this is and what we an expect next year.

I predicted 10-2, but hoped for better before Saturday. I think expectations went wild at 7-0. But now the lost to Bama and many on here think we will be 7-3 if not 7-4.
We will see what kind of team we have. They can either lay down in the coming weeks which would be a travesty or step up proudly and win out. I think LF and the other team leaders get them up.
I love LF, his comments about the Heisman tell me he is all about the team. Special young man there.
