There are plenty of threads started on the younger QB's and their progress, but almost nothing on Etling, who is the incumbent starter.
I get it that many think he is just "adequate" and has a low ceiling, but I hear nothing about whether his performance is improving, whether the surgery has affected his performance, whether the new offense is more (or less) to his liking/ skill set...
How is our starting QB doing? Anyone know? Curious about a player who actually matters to our chances of success.

Latest report is Elway's arm strength, Aaron Rodgers' accuracy, Marino's quick release, Brady's pocket presence, Peyton Manning's ability to dissect coverage, Brees' leadership and Mike Vick's legs.

Etling is a damn good QB - I think the best that we have had since Flynn. He is doing fine, had a very strong 2016 (except Bama ) and is key our success this year. He gets little respect, but will show out this year.

practices are closed.

anything and everything about any player comes from coach O with a smithering from a player or two. it's all coach bull shite.

being "left in the dark" evokes mixed emotions; on one hand the desire to KNOW shite about the team and players is sometimes overwhelming and on the other hand it's kind of nice to just let it go, not worry about it and let the season answer any questions.

You know these youngsters in here can't go 30 minutes without starting a new thread with questions that have been asked 1000 times already.

Because some fans don't like being fooled.

Seems in my experience of TD.com the "let it go" and "it'll be fine" types freak out the worst when things go ary because they never expect that things can go wrong.

He's getting better, I don't think he is as good as Mettenberger was his last year here. I'm hoping for at least that kind of year out of him

The last gasp drives against Auburn and Florida told me a lot. Despite losing both, kid took us down the field converting 4th downs and put us in position to win. Not his fault coaches blew one on clock management and mental error by player on one. I like his grit in tight situations.

While I do not expect to see miraculous improvement in arm strength or accuracy above last year, DE, like every other offensive player, will be more effective simply because the defense will not know exactly what to expect on every play presnap.

So do you think some media guy or internet blogger is going to show up here and give you some kind of great information or something? All we hear every August is how good everyone looks.
