How important is next year's Alabama game for Miles?

Miles has lost the last three and the 2nd half of this year's game left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Considering McCarron, Mosley, etc will be gone, is this a must win for Miles? I say yes.

Yes, long overdo with average coaching against Bama last year we would have won & played ND in the NC game!!! I like Les but he needs to get his shite together!

So everyone assumes we would have beaten UGA in the championship game too. We can't know this.

Ole Miss is important but Bama is the measuring stick.

We're 3 scores better than the Hogs and need to prove it. Also we have 3 out of 4 bowl losses, a trend that needs to change this year. After NSD, spring and summer practice let's see how the Wisconsin game goes?

More important things are coming up before then. I think a bowl win this year is more important than next year's Alabama game.

not that big.

2015 is our championship year.

we are breaking in a new QB too plus new Defensive line which is just as important as your QB in the SEC

Because we've coincidentally got into a national championship game every 4 years?

Too soon to be calling that one bud

This thread was created for one purpose only; to incite the LSU fan base or bring negativity after a great win this past weekend. "bigosports" previous posts are similar = troll.
this thread needs to be whacked.

He has to win.

If he only loses to Bama next year, he will be labeled as Cholly Mac 2. The wheels will start churning for a replacement

If he loses to Bama and a few others, he may be gone. No one will pay that much money for 3 or more losses a year (see Mack Brown)

It's important - since arriving at LSU, Miles is 5-5 against Bama. Against Saban, he's 3-5. Assuming Saban is still at Bama in 2014, that game will close the gap and give Miles a winning record against Bama again.

Other than the 5-5 against Bama, Miles has a winning record (at LSU) against every other SEC team, except Georgia.

Bama 5-5

ArKansas 5-3

Auburn 7-2

Miss. State 9-0

Ole Miss 6-3

aTm 2-0 (+1 for the Cotton Bowl, pre-SEC)

Florida 5-4

UGA 2-3

Kentucky 2-1

USCe 3-0

Tennessee 4-1

Vandy 3-0

So, he actually needs to win the next couple against Bama and UGA to reverse those 2 trends.

LSU has lost 3 or more games 45 times in 60 years.

Out of the 15 we didn't, guess how many were under Miles'?

(Hint: The answer is 5 ... f-i-v-e).

Over that same stretch (you guys hate all the extra games, so I can't say "10 wins" any more), LSU has won 75% or more of its games 20 times.

Guess how many times under Miles?

(Hint: The answer is 6.)

You should probably just switch over to Bama - you're already late to the party as it is.
