If I had to choose between keeping either O or Aranda on the staff next year I'd choose Aranda.

Well, if we win, I don't care; however, he is one of the best in the business as of right now, so any coach that doesn't want him would have huge question marks for me.

Don't know about the administration though

His brain is a must-keep entity.

I have a hard time believing out staff can get any better outside of OC which is still in audition now. A new coach will most likely want his own guys at every position.

Unfortunately hiring O doesn't guarantee we keep Aranda, if a G5 program comes along this offseason we could be out of luck.

I'd want Dave Aranda as HC over Coach O.

Agreed I hate to actually say it but Aranda is more important than coach O. I'm hoping Aranda likes O, with a good OC LSU could turn into a juggernaut.

It is one of many reasons why I want Coach O to be the main guy next year. IF they win out with this group, I would be perfectly happy to see this staff remain intact for next year. Hell, I would even be ok with keeping Peveto if they win out.

I don't know what the love affair is with Herman, honestly. He is a very good coach, I get that, but if you have to choose between a coach who has never coached in the SEC, is not from here, has several losses to lesser competition this season and would command a huge price tag or a coach who lives here, bleeds purple and gold, recruits his arse off, does the right things on and off of the field to make LSU football fun again, is undefeated against far tougher competition (assuming they win out), would maintain an incredible staff that is already here and could provide continuity to close out on an amazing 2017 recruiting class, the decision is simple. Hire Coach O!

IF he does not win out and they fade down the stretch, he should still get a look, but Jimbo, not Herman, should be the target, and keeping Aranda should be required.

I think it's so important that the incoming coach must accept keeping him as the DC. It's One of the reasons I wanted Herman to come to LSU. I thought their history Would make that possible.

All BS aside though, it's imperative LSU keeps Aranda. This is his first year and the D is good, really damn good. Give him a couple of years and he will fill the ranks with players that fit his scheme and then it's on. I'm still a believer of DEFENSE wins Championships.

Rather than get a 4 mil a year head coach we should keep O at 2 mil a year and up Aranda to 2 mil a year.

Pay aranda whatever he wants. It would be like not paying saban whatever it took again.
