Is he a legit above-average SEC starting OT or does he need to be replaced next year?

I could see Chris Faulk taking over at RT is La'el Collins is ready to go at LT as a frosh.

I think Hurst has played very well. He can also play guard.

If Collins is as good as advertised, he will play some.

Hurst is versatile. He can play guard.

With Barksdale leaving, I really doubt the only returning starting tackle won't hold onto one of the two spots. Also Blackwell will come back giving LSU three returning starters at guard, I don't see too much room for him to move there.

I love the line of Faulk/Dworaczyk/PJ/Blackwell/Collins or Hurst, and Hurst/Collins/Shaw/Washington backing up..dominate!

They seem to really like Washington according to spring and fall reports. I don't know about Faulk. The times I have seen him play, he looked half a step slow out of his stance in comparison to the other lineman. If he is so good, he should be starting at right tackle with Hurst at right guard where I think he could dominate.

You're right, bro. The top OT and a top 10 player in his class has no shot at starting next year. You're a moron.

Asking a true freshman to start at left tackle in the SEC is a tall order.

I've liked Hurst since the day he committed. He's always wanted to play here and has worked hard. He's got the want to play well here.

Yes, I agree.

But I never said that I think he should start at LT. I'm a fan of Faulk at LT and Collins at RT with Hurst at G. Plus, what I was trying to say was it is moronic to say he has "no f'ing chance" at starting when he is one of the most highly recruited OT to ever come to LSU.

Faulk blocked two guys on Ford's long TD run.

His ranking is based on potential.

I have been heavily involved in recruiting in NCAA.....I fricking know how to evaluate a player. Is Collins a top recruit? Absolutely. Will he step in as a crab and unseat a successful, seasoned SEC starter? frick no.

Again, I have watched him play and he is no Jeff Byers as many here think he is AT THIS EARLY POINT in his career. Will he excel one day? His POTENTIAL indicates a very good chance. All that being said, he will be redshirted.

moron? jackass, I know a whole helluva lot more about it than you.
