What is the earliest age a kid can be offered a college basketball scholarship?

The kid in this LINK should be offered by Trent Johnson ASAP!

Amazing is the only word I can think of.

I remembered B. Knight once offered a player when he was in 8th grade (Bailey is his last name)

i dont think kids are suposed to start working out (pushups, squats every night) that early i heard it stunts their growth..... hes gonna be like 5'7 wanting to play in the nba... daddy pushes him no doubt if not he verbally 'inspires' him to do all this

He reminds me of Sean Miller, now the coach at Arizona. Sean was on The Tonight Show as about an 8-year-old, doing all kinds of basketball tricks and dribbling. He later played at Pitt, but he was not the star you would think based his early dribbling skill.s

That's actually a misconception. It's never been proven. They can work-out, they just won't see much muscle growth until puberty.
