What mind boggling eggs are you talking about?
Let's see. Getting bent over by CofC earlier this year is not easy to wrap my head around, amidst all the other early season games that dug a hole LSU is just now about to get out of.
Last year, I don't even know where to start (@ Missouri, Auburn TWICE, Tennessee at home).
I think it's fair to be cautiously optimistic considering previous outcomes (yes, facts). shite, I said LSU winning the next two would probably have LSU win the SEC regular season, and you're all wanting to act like I'm saying LSU won't.

"You get #21, you get 5, I've got 18" and so on.

I'm going off facts. LSU has laid inexplicable eggs at mind boggling times, why am I to believe otherwise just yet? Because LSU is on a two game winning streak against two teams that are 9-13?
No question. But the "eggs" were usually laid against teams like Auburn and MSU. That didn't happen last week. In fact, just the opposite happen. I fully expected LSU to play a tough, ugly, game against Auburn. Instead, it may have been their best SEC game to date (at least offensively). I'm definitely not the biggest Jones fan in the world, but unlike in previous season, LSU looked like the much better team against two lesser teams and handled them accordingly.
These next two games will tell a different tale. Both USC and A&M are going to make LSU get out of their comfort-zone. LSU will HAVE to execute in the half-court against tough defenses.
