No, rational Tiger fans know the West is stacked. But we feel unshackled after Les and Cam, and the new energy showed against Missouri. Now, we know Missouri stinks, but it was good to see us woodshed a bad team, like we're supposed to do, but didn't under Les' 70s offense.

btw, I have learned over the years that you can't count LSU out. even when we had shitty teams under shitty coaches our Tigers would come out and win games that everybody thought they'd lose.

It's the only chance we've had to see what a post-Miles LSU team might look like, and it was very encouraging. There was a reason that everybody and his brother had LSU picked in their pre-season top 10--we have tremendous talent and considerable experience on both sides of the ball. With the restrictor plate now removed from the offense, and with increasing comfort and familiarity with Aranda's defense each week, a lot of people feel reason for hope.
Look, our remaining schedule is brutal. Ole Miss and Texas A&M are very good, Alabama is a machine, and Arkansas has been a very tough nut for us to crack. The eighth-grade offense and special teams incompetence won't fix themselves overnight. But we are two plays away from being undefeated even with the Miles limitations and, for the first time in several years, there's a real sense of optimism around the program.
