It was our first SEC game and SEC home game so we were pumped and fresh and they were still a young new offense. People forget, but we were their first road game.

Funny how a win is a win counts when trying to prop up Les, but when using it for another team is not allowed.

Georgia is dying in this game. When Richt got penalized instead of firing up the team the wheels are coming off.

At the time of that game, LSU was better. Auburn is under a first year coach and has gotten better every week, LSU has regressed since that point. If the game was played today, the result is likely different.

Pure fantasy, even in 2011 we were better at the beginning of the year and regressed. This is my biggest criticism of the current staff. How do you practice more and execute less?

We think alike. LSU rarely out executes its opponents. The coaches have a hard time improving from game to game. Why the hell is that?

We are a very good team but are not consistent or experienced. Auburn has gotten better and we have gotten worse. Still....Geaux Tigers.

Were gonna end up 9-3.... please explain to me how we will beat Manziel and TAMU? Yea there D is weak. So is ours. And their O is much more consistent and dynamic than ours. Especially with play calling, personnel, and strategy (thats a knock on Miles, not Cam). We will beat Arky. We will be 8-4. And if we get paired up with a decent team with a good O in a bowl game, Id be very worried. I mean everyone says that we "quit" in the ChickFila game vs Clemson, and that was a pretty good bowl game, with 1 of the best matchups of the entire bowl season. How will the team show up in a worse bowl game this year??

They are very close to dropping 2 games.... but they didnt. Thats all that matters. Doesnt matter if they barely beat someone, all that matters is they won.

Yea we beat them by 14pts. But you like to look at yardage. We only out gained them by 20 yards. And it was the 4th game of the year, and Auburns 1st road game. Malzahn is in his 1st year as the head coach and that O was still working the kinks out. Now, that O looks like a well oiled machine, averaging 320 yards rushing on the ground. Top 3 in the nation.

We go 9-4, our losses are against Bama, UGA, TAMU, and Ole Miss. If they go 10-2, their losses will be against Bama and Us. They already beat Ole Miss. They already beat TAMU. The UGA game isnt over, but they look to be the better team right now. And yea UGA was beat up all year, but a lot of their guys are back right now. Gurley and Bennett being the big ones.

We never really improved this year. Our best Ws were vs TCU and Auburn. All in the 1st 4 weeks of the season. Since then, we have been a roller coaster on offense, while they are been improving and solid on O. And its not like their talent level is soooo below ours. They have a lot of really good players on their team and have been very solid in recruiting the past few years.

And its ok that they are better than us right now. They surprised the entire nation this year. While a lot of people were expecting us to go about 8-4. We lost so many players on D. We were expecting to have a bit of a down year. Its ok.

outcoached them
Not likely. More likely because we played them early in the season when LSU/Zach was still doing good things on offense and Aubs were working on getting their act together. But how things have changed.

What that brings to mind is a question: What if the Alabama game was scheduled early in the season when they weren't hitting on all cylinders and LSU might be playing at a peak level. I'm noticing the last several seasons, it's looked like LSU does not progress(improve) with the season like other teams seem to do. Even in 2011, the last 2 or 3 games, LSU didn't look as hot as they had earlier. Of course there was also that change in the starting QB that took place during the first Alabama game...

Their defense is beyond awful and we play at home.

I said we are very similar teams beat them head to head and got upset in 1 game. Neither will win the west and will end up most likely in a middling bowl. Do you really care that much whether we end up in the Cap 1 bowl or the Cotton?

They got lucky to get UGA now than when we got them. You make excuses for their first road loss where they got trounced but not ours in a 3 point loss.

We had our highest total offensive output of the year the last game of the regular season vs a top 3 opponent. We played our 3 toughest defenses in the last 5 games of that season. That is why we didnt look as good as at the beginning. We also won 2/3 of those and put up 40+ in one

Auburn is on the rise. Coaching . LeSU is on the decline. Also coaching. Just be glad we got them early because they would pound us now.

Our D is pretty awful too. And we will be going against Manziel. I would be surprised if we beat TAMU.

And this is the problem. Its not a good bowl game so who gives a shite what happens right? Horrible.

Since when is a 14points a "trounce"? Again, you love to look at yardage totals. We only out gained them by 20 yards. And they outplayed us in the 2nd half. Scored 21points with 320 yards in the 2nd half.

Who is still out vs UGA today? Marshall is out for the year. But we only saw Gurley for about about 15 minutes of the game. They are seeing him the entire game. So who is still out for UGA? They have a lot of there guys back now.

Again, im not saying they would blow us out by 28 points or anything like that. But I think they are a TD better than us right now. Thats all.

To be fair, if this is true (and I have no reason to question your information), then at least we can look as scheduling as something that can possibly get in LSU's way some seasons. But...

I'm not so sure I agree on this one. A major factor IMO was the change in starting QB and subsequent change in playing style and offensive schemes.

But regardless, even the return of JJ couldn't pull the Tigers down - that season LSU was unbeaten and ranked #1.

But then 1/9 came along...

Justin Scott Wesley is out for the season caught 4 passes for 55 yards and a TD vs us. Chris Conley while playing is still beat up and missed the last couple games had 100+ yards and a TD vs us.

Plus they were still playing for a NC vs us. Kind of like you expect us to fold up shop. They have folded up shop already.
