Do you pumpers really believe Cam is to blame for the offensive ineptness? If so, what makes you think the offense will be different with a new OC (THAT LES WILL HIRE!!)?

I wouldn't consider him the scapegoat, but he has had 2 years to teach Harris how to throw a 10 yard pass and failed miserably at that. Play calling is one thing but wasting that kids arm talent is a disappointing thing to watch.

So why would a quality OC accept the job if his future is so insecure?

He has a punchable face. If you're picking someone to scapegoat, that person would look like Cam.

You guys realize, I hope, that one of the reasons LSU has so many delay of game penalties and so many issues getting plays into the game is because Les is changing plays between the booth to the huddle.

anyone that thinks Cam is the issue is blind

We've had 3 OC's over the last several years..NOTHING has changed. But there has been one constant...

This really is the reason, IMO. If an a-hole like Bo Pelini was in the same position as Miles is right now at LSU, support would be few and far between.

Josh Booty had a better arm than Brandon Harris will ever have. Who was to blame for wasting his arm talent? Sometimes head talent is more important than arm talent. And Harris hasn't displayed an iota of head talent.

Bingo.

We've had Jimbo, Crowton, Cam, Kragthorpe, and so forth. The only time the offense completely clicked was in Crowton's first year and it was all downhill from there.

All of those guys have put on great offenses elsewhere over the years and the common denominator in this case is Les.

I like Les but to have so many chronic offensive issues, mainly with the QB, during his tenure indicates that whatever problem is related to him. Not all of this can be laid down to the FB getting injured or injuries on the O-line.

Absolutely!

Zero short passing game. No designs to get LF7 touches if our O-line isn't opening holes against a defense. Considering LF's capability catching the ball, that is nearly criminal. Poor recognition of tells or tendencies. No misdirection taking advantage of offensive speed. No ingenuity whatsoever.

Les trusted Cam fully. Cam was given more input into LSU's offense than any coordinator Les has had, here or at OkState. It didn't work out. Ultimately that's on the HC. But our offensive ineptitude was of Cam's construction.

I agree his head is not in it or he just doesn't have it mentally. His short passes are just so inaccurate.

it's funny how cam lead (or close to it) the big10 in total offense and lit it the frick up with antwaan randle el(a wr playing qb), but for some mysterious reason can't seem to move the football at lsu. lol at les miles.

The picture you posted is the first time Les Miles has had a play sheet on the LSU sidelines . . . . EVER!

Exactly. Gundy has said when he was OC under Les at Okie St. that Les changed 2 out of 3 plays that were called. Also said he tried to change up the offense, but if it didn't involve two tight ends and a full back, Les wanted no part of it.
