We can just call it the Dead Dome next season.

Sorry for the probably unnecessary post but this is going to be such a disappointment if Jones is hired.

True but imagine what it will be like when it is even worse than it has been.

You're a fricking fount of optimism!

Whoever gets the gig is walking into a depleted roster of quantity and quality. Recruiting is over for this year so there's no immediate relief even if Coach K took the job.

It's going to take patience.

If it's Jones then support him otherwise STFU.

I'm sorry I cant excited about a coach that has been stuck at UNT for the last decade.

The signing period is not over for 3 more weeks. You never know what a new coach could still pull in or bring with him.

I've been pretty patient if you want to take a look back at my previous posts.

I never said I wasn't going to support him. Hell I still "supported" Trent Johnson up until the very end even though I didn't like him.

It seems as though Alleva has his mind made up about Jones and all the other names thrown around are just to make it appear as though he's interviewing and playing the field.

Would be a very watered down and tyical answer to replace Johnson. I say typical because it's obvious that the current administration looks at men's basketball as the ugly red-headed stepchild of the bunch.

Hell, they even spent more time, effort, and creativity behind getting the women's basketball coach.

If Jones was his top choice this search would be over....

My season tickets will not be renewed if he is hired, if LSU doesn't care about basketball, why should I? And them hiring Jones would send that message loud and clear.

Why not? I'm sure if he had his guy he would be ready to hire and start the new era. We are in the midst of signing period, I'm sure he would want the guy to be able to fill roster spots

Until the hire is made or at least there is a legit source saying its done, all we know is he has interviewed. Stop being such fricking drama queens. Let it play out.

The SEC has just declared that LSU and Ms State will only play each other 20 times next season so their games will be more interesting.

Well, Im with you guys I dont want JJ.

However, I can find some comfort that he has had a string of 6 or so consecutive 20 win seasons (i might be off by a year).

I find that impressive regardless of what school he's at.

An unknown coach from Samford got us to the Sweet 16 and Final 4.

Don't forget.

Unfortunately, the 20 win mark isn't nearly as impressive these days due to an increase in regular season games. This past season LSU could have reached the 20 win mark with two more wins against the likes of South Alabama, Coastal Carolina, Northwestern, etc. and still not sniffed the NCAA tournament. The fact that he's failed to win at least one regular season title is bothersome.
