I am located in Pa. so I am not as privvy to all things LSU but I do try and stay up on them as much as possible. My question is how bad of a qb is shepard that he has not gotten a chance to play qb when it is obvious the other two do not really want the job. he is not really getting a chance to showcase his talents as a wr either because they do not throw to him often enough, so i would give him an opportunity. we have one of the best group of receivers in the nation but no one would ever know that outside of the LSU fanbase.

Rueben Randle (#2) was an outstanding high school QB along the lines of the current Michigan QB - Why not give him a shot?

My understanding from "those in the know", which I realize is everyone on the rant, his passing is worse than JJ. Is that what we need?

Christ, how can you say Lee doesn't want the job? The kid played well Saturday.

I certainly think if anything he should get a shot at playing the Wildcat QB position. I mean hell...they dont even use him when running the option...

At times... At other times he looked worse than Jefferson. Do I think he's the answer? I'm not sold but I do think he offers more potential for this offense and would be the best choice. He can make throws that Jefferson simply has not.

maybe "wanting the job" was not the correct choice of words. i am sure they both would like the starting job, i just don't think they are quality sec starting qquarterbacks. it is not like we have had great quarterbacks here the last ten years but we have had guys who did more than just get the job done. neither is getting it done now. it is our defense and special teams that is getting it done. i would just like to see them work more w/ shepard and give him some snaps as a wildcat option at minimum. if there is nothing there, he has the athletic ability and speed to create some very exciting things.

Not to sure, but if we are gonna send a guy to run the option into the endzone with 30 seconds left then why wouldn't it be shep?

When was that again? Certainly not on Saturday.
