Here is a guy who joined UNO in 2011 after they effectively had a self-imposed death penalty in their athletic program. He has shown significant improvement each year he has been at UNO and the team is in contention to make the NCAA tourney this year. He was just named the Southland Conference Coach of the Year and quite honestly what this guy has done to UNO with very little resources or support is truly amazing.

He is a young Dale Brown with the UNO fanbase in that he has really energized the basketball program and its fans again which is very hard to do.

Not interested in a young Dale Brown. All recruiting no coaching. We don't need that.

Who wouldn't want a 62 year old coach coming off a 6 win season?

If you could be guaranteed a 40 year old coach would be hired who would remain in the position for 20 years and those 20 years would exactly match what Dale Brown accomplished 1973 through 1992 would you take it?

We are getting rid of a guy who could barely cut in the Sunbelt, and now you want to look at a Southland guy...kill me...just shoot me in the fricking head.
