Outside the brewery (which I'll be visiting), Top Golf, the baseball games, and a good bite to eat, what else can a college aged kid enjoy doing while I'm there? Not looking to do the zoo, or anything in that ballpark.

What you really want is a ticket to one of the private tents. You need to know one of the BBQ teams tho. Maybe hit up Owlie on the OT

A shitload more breweries? My favorites, provided you have transportation are Back Pew in Porter which is NE of the city and 11 Below which is NW just outside Beltway 8. Buffalo Bayou isn't too bad either.

ETA: I don't know that their hours would be condusive to the game schedules. I don't go south of the Woodlands much except for breweries and baseball.

Pappasito's Cantina is inside Hilton America's (across Disovery Green park, a couple blocks away)

Barbeque Cookoff is @ NRG Stadium Parking Lot. It's fun but can't enjoy as much if you don't have wrist bands to get into private party Tents.
Roger Craeger & Shooter Jennings play Sat. night at Garden Stage. Not sure what the weather will do, possible rain showers Sat pm.

With GA pass, if I see game in morning and leave for lunch, is there an issue scanning back in?

On rodeo cook off, if I'm going with friends and family but don't have access to private tents is it worth it?

I think I remember them asking us if we were coming back later. If so they would scan us out and you would just scan back in upon return.

But that was 2 years ago and my memory sucks so take it for what it's worth.
