In case anyone needs a room, if you're willing to make about a 3 hour drive on game day, Chicago is the place to stay. Plenty of hotels available, and they haven't jacked up the prices. If you take the time to look you'll find that Green Bay and the surrounding little towns don't have an abundance of hotels. And the few they do have are booked up and rates are sky high! As I said, Chicago is about a 3 hour drive from Green Bay. That's where I'll be staying. Just thought I'd pass along this idea.

Have not checked prices or availability in Milwaukee. It's about a 2 hour drive to Green Bay.

Or you could have planned ahead and booked in Green Bay within walking distance of Lambeau right after game was announced before they jacked the prices up!

Tried that and didn't work. Hotels (at least Marriott) required 1 year. I called on the minute of the 1 year mark and the conglomerates had already secured all of the rooms. Quite the racket. Was pretty bummed because had been calling trying for months prior. Oh well - RVing it now.

We are staying at a B&B on a Lake Michigan beach just south of Algoma, WI, a 30 minute drive due east of Green Bay.

We're staying in Ashwaubenon which looks like they're right next to Green Bay. About a 6 minute drive from the stadium.

I got a room Brown Deer North Milwaukee for Marriott points

I hit them pretty early cost me 30K for 2 nights which is a steal in terms of Marriott points. I guess I don't really know prices

You are right. I got a room at the Fairfield Inn precisely because I am a conglomerate.

Chicago? Dude, WAY too far. Quick search shows there are still rooms in Appleton and Neenah (just 30 miles south of Green Bay).

(#1 and 2 on America's drunkest cities...see thread.)

So did I, until they hiked it up to $199 a night without notice. I had to call corporate, but they fixed it. I hope it wasn't with one of the AmericInn properties...

Figured it was already too late to look for a place in Green Bay. Perhaps Ill look for a room in Milwaukee... Just bought tix to the game and plane tickets through Milwaukee this week! We still haven't decided where we're staying. I finally persuaded myself wth, this may be a magical season and Lambeau may be a once in a lifetime road trip experience for those Tiger fans going.
