We are gonna need him down the stretch.
But it wasnt a coincidence the team played better without him. He has to get smarter with the ball.

He usually starts nice then cools. Quarterman and patterson are comfortabe in their roles. Dont see a need to change that, we def will need him down the road (see wvu)

I agree here. I'm not gonna rub it in LSUbutt's face we are all Tiger fans, but Gray under control makes us an even better team than we are.

Hopefully, tonight opens his eyes how good we can be when we play under control. I can't imagine our potential if we had tonight's team plus Gray playing at a high level.

I was pretty pissed after a&m game but now I am more excited than ever. I think based on our schedule, most of us predicted to be 3-2 anyway before the season started in SEC play…considering 2 of our wins are on the road vs top 100 RPI teams is big

For what? He is the weakest link on the team when he is at point guard.

He will settle down, plus there are always injuries and foul trouble to worry about.

At this point you need to go with TQ, Patterson and Hornsby in a rotation. Play Gray when you can, but it's hard to give someone big minutes if you can't trust them with the ball. He looked absolutely scared tonight, was looking to get rid of the ball as soon as he touched it in the backcourt.

We have a shallow bench. He is gonna play big minutes because we need him to, starter or not, especially come tournament time.

He needs to realize he is not playing against HS competition. All the show off between the legs dribbles is just ridiculous.

He is the quickest player on the team, he just needs to play under control. He can be a great asset.

If he's playing big minutes, there won't be a tourny time for us. Cannot afford 4-5 TO's from the PG and win games. Simply cannot take care of the ball right now. Play him when you can to see if it changes, but right now he needs to be the 4th guard in the rotation.

Yeah I think 3-2 was expected, with losses @ Ole Miss and UF.

Tonight he may have been the 4th guard...remember Darcy doesn't play many minutes. Glad to see Patterson progressing, but LSU needs Gray as well.

Man we should be min 4-1 and really 5-0. Love the win and hope we can finally play with consistency but we have to stop being our own worst enemy.

But UGA had us beat too...
I think 4-1 is fair, and 3-2 isn't a complete catastrophe. We've had much worse starts in the past.

We s the bed against uga in regulation too though. Gave up a nice lead down the stretch in that one. I agree with you in the overtime but it shouldnt have gotten to that

Negative! We don't need the Gray that has been playing. We need someone to step up and play with fewer errors. Hope it is Gray. But not if he continues to be abused by the rest of the league. Its painful to watch them take the ball away repeatedly and he doesn't change his attack.

Some people seem to have given up on Gray, but I think he just needs to settle down and try not to forces things so much. He is great when he is in control. And he can actually drive to the basket and finish (when it is there!).

He scares me on fast breaks. It is like he thinks just because he has a fast break going that he needs to drive and make something out of it, even when there isn't anything there.

I agree, but shitting the bed is part of who this team is (hopefully was).

All they likely have to do is finish 8-5.
