All I know is the new HC better keep Aranda. The D is stout this year, all with pretty vanilla play calls while they learn a new system. The offense may have not been pulling the rope, but the Defense sure has....

The new HC will be able to hire Aranda. Who it is will depend on whether he wants to or not. Most coaches bring a lot of their previous staffs.

he doesn't have it. The new coach will be able to pick his staff, If we are smart we hire a coach that knows its a good idea to keep Dave Aranda on staff even if its not his best buddy Herman. You don't want to handcuff a new coach but usually some old staff remains on for a time to help the new coach transition into his spot.

I think we are looking at going offensive coaching route, which could mean a greater chance of keeping Aranda. If we go for a defensive coach I would be surprised if we saw any of that side stay.

He doesn't. Coach O and Grimes had their contracts restructured in the off season to take out a Miles Clause. The only coach that had it in there was Cameron. And he gone.

He doesn't but even if he did, it would only mean his contract could be bought out for a fee lower than the main buyout clause. Doesn't mean he would have to be let go.

At least that's my recollection of the specifics. Ultimately, his position next year depends on what the new HC wants.

Most of the assistants have 3 more years on their contracts. I would say that the new offensive minded coach if not Coach O will retain O, Aranda,Craig & Juluke!

Aranda should be the next coach...... Defensive minded and he can go and get and up and coming OC like Applewhite or Briles (son)

I'm sure keeping Aranda will be negotiated with the new HC. Now if Aranda keeps up the good work, I can't see why the new HC wouldn't keep him.

Doubt it. No major HC experience at all. No way LSU offers a guy without any experience at this level. Bebe on the other hand ........

I support whatever the next coach decides to do, from retaining some assistance coaches to completely cleaning house
