Hope, thy name is Danny Etling.

Cool, calm and collected
On time with all of his throws
Felt the pressure and was able to escape it.
Is he perfect? Far from it.
Is he going to save Miles' job? Not likely.
Is he the quarterback this team needs? You're damn right.
Before the pessimistic posters of this board come in with their oh so valued opinions and say, "HE DIDN'T COMPLETE A PASS IN THE SECOND HALF RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!!!!1111!!1"
RELAX. He's barely gotten reps with the first string and Dupre's sudden case of the drops and less than physical nature didn't help him any. He showed he can be effective in our offense and that's all we need. We don't need a superstar. Just effective.
Looking forward to seeing what he can do against Moo State!

Decision making and BH is terrible at it.

His pocket presence was what impressed me the most. He made some mistakes but I like what he offers us. He had good touch and was surprisingly mobile. I still think that the offensive scheme sucks, but if we're stuck with it, Miles should let Etling run it.

Hey, man, you, you don't talk to Etling. You listen to him. I, I mean, the man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet warrior in the classic sense. I'm a nervous wreck. You got any cigarettes?

Mind blowing isn't it? I fear the ONLY real hope is the end of the season and a new coaching staff.
This season is going to get uglier than many think.

Regardless of what happens with Etling, Miles needs to go. It wouldn't surprise me to see him get worse as the season progresses simply because it's difficult for any QB to be successful in an offense like the one Miles runs.
