How about naming a building after him, maybe when/if we renovate or rebuild Middleton or Kirby-smith?

After retirement of course

Buildings are CASH Names...

See the 1989 "Classroom Building" that waited on a name...(Money).

I love Miles, but academic buildings should be named after academic figures. I'm not that crazy about naming them for big $$ donors either.

LSU could develop a variety of fescue and name it after him

Les needs to win 2 or 3 more NC's and retire here before we start thinking about naming stuff after him.

you must really hate les if you think he needs 4 NCs to have something named after him.

The practice facility is named after Cholly Mac and he has zero.

Again, I'm a huge Miles fan. We should do something appropriate to honor him at the appropriate time. Rename one of the city's major thoroughfares, named after a major figure in the early history of LSU? No.

How much of the field does the guy have to eat before we name it after him?

State law forbids the naming of any state building, bridge, park, etc after any living person, other than those allowed through exceptions made by law.

Portions of a building, i.e. rooms, labs, lounges, wings, floors, etc, can be named after living persons according to the Attorney General.

Name the field after him, since he has already eaten most of the grass
