Man, thanks for posting that. What a player - he was so incredible that you tend to forget all the great plays he made until you see them again. And one of his best was not on there - the other great punt return against Georgia that set up a score, where he seemed to run through the entire Georgia team, some of them twice.

He really was magical. Back in those days was where DBU was formed and it was for real. If you threw on us there was a very good chance that not only would it get picked but pick 6. All he wanted was the ball. No matter where it was he was going to get it too.

I couldn't believe it when he threw it all away with drugs. Not because of what he did to us but because of what I had thought he did to himself. However he bounced back and is now an impact player on Sunday. I'm impressed and his future is bright and that's great.

Anyone that doubts HB's commitment and love for LSU is just ignorant. I really can't think of a more amazing defensive player than TM. It was a great experience watching his career at LSU. I wish him a very long career in the NFL.

If he doesn't get suspended for that one game he would have won the Heisman. He deserved it over RG3 and I thought the punt returns against UGA had cemented his case but I guess the voters had other things in mind. Still one of my favorite tigers ever and I'm glad Peterson took him back under his wing in the pros and helped him get his life back together. Love seeing those two play together

I agree with you. I still love the guy and am extremely proud he got his shite together and represents LSU well but I'm still mad (selfish) that he was kicked off the team

Just when i get to thinking Leonard was the best player to put on a tiger uniform in my lifetime I am reminded of just how good Tyrann is. One of my favorite tigers of all time.

Why did he decide to smoke the weed anyway? I don't remember what his problems were

He should have won the Heisman. The fact that he didn't shows just how much of a joke that trophy has become.

Every CFB fan from that time will remember his performances that year.

I don't even remember who actually won it.

He saved that 2011 team. Just couldn't produce any magic in the championship game against Bama.

2011 LSU scored 6 TDs while trailing.

Tyrann Mathieu, a corner, scored half of them.

He's the BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER I've ever seen live. I'm 55.
He changed every game he was in.
