Hitting the center

Lost in the shuffle of bitching about the offense last night (I am very much guilty of this) seemed to be the GREAT move by our defensive coaches to tell whoever was over the center to knock him on his arse when he turned his head.
For those who were at the game and may have missed it, the center for UF would jerk his head back towards Tebow before the snap every play. Announcers mentioned this was probably a way for him to let the OLine know the snap was coming without a snap count. Our defensive coaches got fed up with it not being called a false start, so the report came in that the players were told next time he does it, nail his arse. This was in the 2nd quarter.
At the start of the 3rd, the second play for UF the center moved his head and got knocked on his arse. The refs got together and called it a false start, and the center never jerked his head back again.
I hope there were threads on this already but a quick scan on the 1st page after waking up didn't reveal any. This was a great move that is probably lost in the shuffle of what else happened. It was all around a great game by our defense imo.

Problem is they waited till the 3rd quarter to do it. Center should have been put on his arse the second time he did it.

That was one of the few highlights of the game. I have never seen a big lineman fly through the air like that. He got blown up. Almost landed on Tebow!

We should have done it in the first quarter. Hoping the refs would call it when they clearly would not is futile and stupid.

i just like the way the sideline reporter said "guys, coach chavis told his defense to hit the center, BUT NOT HARD, when he moves his head."
i am sure that's what he said.

Now that's making adjustments.

It was a great call. About two quarters too late though.
It was mentioned in a thread earlier.
Coaches should have caught the head fake quicker than Gary Danielson...

Why did it take so long for them to make this great move? It should have happened as soon as they saw it going on.

bigger question is that it drew up offsides 2 times in the 1st half but they called US offsides on a major FLA drive.. WHY? Why were the officials not doing their job? They called TBob offsides doing this (although I never saw it) but not their C??
