it's rare that you have a chance to bring in a guy as a ST coach who just 3 years prior was a head coach at a BCS school and now finds himself available for non-football reasons. He's also got Houston ties, an area we need to keep up with. Haywood is not only the best choice, he's the only choice.

I completely agree. my only assumption behind Peveto is that he is a respectable position coach who just happens to have strong N LA ties since being NSU's head coach

Yes. Hire the guy that was recently arrested for beating his baby mama. I can't see anyone negatively recruiting us based on that.

"In February 2012, the domestic violence charges were dismissed after Haywood completed pre-trial diversion requirements, counseling, and public service. He is now employed in Houston at an oil company but hopes to return to football someday.[7]"

SOUNDS LIKE A SLAM-DUNK!!!!!!!!

That only matters in court.

It's also rare to hire a coach who beats his wife

Yeah, I have a feeling we can get a competent ST coach that DIDN'T settle felony domestic abuse charges out of court and hasn't been out of football for ~3 years.

Any of you fartknockers on here that want Haywood back at LSU are absolutely senseless. Pitt didn't let him coach for a valid reason.

He finds himself available because he was accused of beating his wife/girlfriend. Sorry but no way LSU needs that kind of PR blemish.

Think that there was a problem, but not worthy of a firing. Innocent until proven guilty. There are always accusations. However, he is not the most qualified candidate....Daryl Daye is.

Anyone who remembers the special teams when he was special teams coach, that wants him back, must be an Ole Miss fan.

Maybe we need a coach who knows how to get off charges.

He can help when our players need to.

Does Daryl Daye know that you want to suck his dick? You've been gushing over him on this site for days now.
