He certainly opens himself up for much criticism when he makes inconsistent comments like that...crazy!

Seems obvious, qb's with skills like Flynn, Mett and now DE are the ones that best fit LSU's system of run, play-action, and take some shots when the opp presents itself. They need to ensure Brennan does not get away, and keep moving forward with a dynamic, unpredictable OFF.

Not sure that is accurate. Think Flynn was 11-2.

he started the peach bowl in 2005 but missed the SEC championship in 2007 so 11-2 is correct

Can anyone go back to Wisconsin game and see if this is true? To me it looked like we only had 2 receiver patterns and mostly just 1 target for Harris to throw to. Now that could be because Harris will not go through progressions but if that's the case it is a different offense and the playbook is opened up.

So we finally luck into a halfway decent offense because Miles was practically forced by the AD and crowd to make a change.

when you have nothing but three-and-outs, you can't get to the rest of the Playbook. Do you really think that they just learned all these new plays since Danny became the starter? Do you think they learned them in between the first quarter and the second quarter of the Jacksonville State game?

I think they have called the games differently, with more focus on shallow crosses (which I'm ecstatic to see) and more rb check downs. However, I think things like the shallow crosses and quick outs went called before bc they didn't think it was what bh6 was best at. Criticize he or the coaches all you want but I think they were trying to devise an offense that played to his strengths; he wasn't consistent at certain throws and knowing LM I think all can agree hell eliminate any plays from the GP that he doesn't believe will work.

P.S. That means that Miles knew before the start of the Wisconsin game that Etling was a qualified replacement for BH6! And Miles failed to use Etling in that game!

That is gross incompetence.

It was reported by a number of sources that Etling had tweaked his back and wasn't 100%.

He made a miraculous recovery in a week.

P.S. If Etling did so well in the summer workouts, the coaching staff already knew that even at 80% or 90%, his versatility would have spread out the defense and opened up the running game. They claim BH6 played hurt last year. Why not let Etling play hurt in the Wisconsin game.

Everyone acts like Les was forced to do this. Not dogging Harris or Jennings, but the offense has been held back by the quarterback.

Their limited performance forced Les and Cam to rely on the running game because our only two passes, that were sometimes successful, were stare-down go routes to Dupre and Dural. The college football nation figured out that's all we had.

Believe it or not, and dog his Purdue history all you want, but we now have a quarterback that can read the field and use his weapons. Cam is going to let him roll and we are about to see much better results going forward. There is talent on this team, and as they continue to gel (O-line, less drops, discipline) the Tigers will only improve.

Time for the climb

Maybe we should stick to transfers. Let other coaches teach them route progressions and how to read Ds and then we use them to win. Our coaches obviously cannot teach QBs how to grow.

I thought Cam was going to change it. Mett from 12 to 13 was night and day.

News like this is not cause for celebration--just confirmation that it's past time for Miles to go. This staff's responsibility is to find and/or develop good quarterbacks. The shite offenses we've put up with in light of this revelation are absolutely intolerable.

Sometimes it takes a wake up call. But if he continues to progress and LSU keeps winning in anyone's honest opinion should Les stay if he listens and does better than he has in recent years?

How about Fire or cut Cams pay and bring in a very good qb coach?
