Totally hypothetical, and I really am curious of what folks are thinking.

Would you be ok with keeping Miles for another 10 years if it were a guarantee that we win at least 1 national championship, 3 SEC championships, and say...another national championship game appearance?

Please don't tell us why it will never happen. We know, we know....we'll never win more than 7 games with Les again. Just trying to gauge what the vibe is in rantard land.

I concur, but I am a miles lover who doesn't love LSU apparently.

I upvoted but I don't believe for a second that Miles is capable of reproducing what he did in his first 10 years here.

The last 3 seasons have given us no confidence that he'll turn things around.

Obviously. The problem is, he isn't gonna do this.

ITT: we learn that some adults don't know the meaning of "hypothetical"

Noted. And I'm not saying you are wrong. I am just really curious how many folks hate the man so much that they are not ok with the above scenario. Fwiw, I would be Of the opinion, as most are, that we would need some serious improvement and hands off approach on the offense next year to get folks...even posis...back in his camp hardcore.

Divide Miles career here into halves.. The current trend isn't so pretty.

What leads you to believe it's going to be similar. We recruit talent period. I believe we can always compete for championships.

I don't think I said it was. I clearly stated it was hypothetical, and asked whether folks would be for it or against it.

There are a couple of fringe types who fit this description:

1. A small, vocal group who said in 2005 that Miles was a bad hire and they've been on a decade long crusade to say that they were right.

2. Another group of typically young dudes who just hate the Miles' style of play when compared to Oregon's offense, Baylor's offense, or Malzahn's offense when clicking.

Those are the groups that Les never wins over because they'll hate him no matter what he accomplishes.

Though I am skeptical that Miles will completely give up control of the O, that is exactly what he's needed to do since Mett/Juice/OBJ left.

I don't care about our style of offense as much as I care about winning.

Develop a respectable passing game and utilize the playmakers you have to open things up, cut out 75% of the false starts, get significant improvement out of the special teams across the board, maybe win ONE game where you're the underdog - do those things next year and the fringe negatigers who react week to week will be onboard by the end of next year.

I also think it will help tremendously to win our bowl game and keep the 2016 recruiting class largely intact.

I do not know a single person who hates the man. Not one. Many hate his offenses, many are tired of the penalties and confusion, and many are sick of losing to Bama and not competing in the West. This leads to a want to see him leave. But it's kind of a straw man you set up.
