His Colorado State team is 7-5 this year and were 10-3 in McElwain's last year...last year. They the 3rd round Saints rookie QB and 1200 yard 16 TD rusher Dee Hart. Anyway, record aside, this guy was a great QB coach and OC who the UGA fans hated towards the end (seem very stupid now considering how bad their offense has turned out without him).
He was/is a great recruiter and you can check out his recruits here:
The names for just him being the primary recruiter is impressive on its own.

Then check out his QBs plus his 1st QB at Colorado St is at the bottom. It's about as consistent as you can get.
David Greene 01-04
59% 11530 yards (8.0 ypa) 72 TDs 32 ints, 5 rush TDs
DJ Shockley 05
56% 2590 yards (8.3 ypa) 24 TDs 5 ints, 325 rush yards 4 TDs
Matthew Stafford 06-08
57% 7730 yards (7.8 ypa) 51 TDs 33 ints, 213 rush yards 6 TDs
Joe Cox 09
56% 2585 yards (7.8 ypa) 24 TDs 15 ints,
Aaron Murray 10-13
62% 13165 yards (8.9 ypa) 121 TDs 41 ints, 396 rush yards 16 TDs
Hutson Mason 14
68% 2154 yards (7.8 ypa) 21 TDs 4 ints, 4 rush TDs
Nick Stevens 15
62% 2370 yards (7.8 ypa) 21 TDs 12 ints, 2 rush TDs
Then you look at backs like Musa Smith,, Thomas Brown, Knowshon Moreno, Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb, and WRs like Fred Gibson, Terrence Edwards, Reggie Brown, Tavarres King, Mohammed Massaquoi, AJ Green, and TEs like Benjamin Watson, Leonard Pope, Orson Charles, and Arthur Lynch.
LSU needs to keep tabs on this guy.

I thought he was still at UGA. I was thinking OC.

Are you asking if he should be our OC?

No, head coach.
If Miles continues this mediocre slide, the buyout should be fairly reasonable 2 years from now and no way we catch as much flak with 5 straight years of poor and declining win record.
In Bobo, we have a guy that recruited great at UGA with ties there, consistently has good QB play, has NFL draft picks on offense littered all over the place as well.
Defense should be set then with this 2016 incoming class and he could hit the ground running because we utilize a pro style offense already (a very constricted one though).

I think UGA fans were plenty happy to see him go.
