I know I've said this numerous times, but a more likely option who would relish the opportunity is Doug Meacham Offensive Coordinator at TCU

Doug Meacham joined the TCU football staff as offensive coordinator in December 2013.
In each of his two seasons, the Horned Frogs’ offensive attack has ranked among the nation’s best.
In 2015, for the second straight year, TCU set single-season school records in several major statistical categories. Additionally, the Horned Frogs ranked third nationally in total offense (562.8 yards per game) and seventh in scoring (42.1 points per game).
In his first season at TCU, Meacham helped the Horned Frogs become the nation’s most improved offense in total yards (+188.2 ypg) and scoring (+21.4 ppg). TCU’s 21.4 points per game improvement broke the Big 12 record of 19.1 set by Oklahoma in 1999 (35.8; 16.7, 1998) and was the largest improvement by any team since Northwestern went up 24.0 points between 1999-00.
The 2014 Horned Frogs ranked second in the nation in scoring (46.5 ppg) and tied for fifth in total offense (533.0 ypg). TCU set 26 school records for offense in winning its first Big 12 championship as well as the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Meacham was a 2014 finalist for the Broyles Award, recognizing the nation’s top assistant coach.

Boot Miles, see what Aranda can do the rest of the season.

also tell Cameron to GTFO as well. The philosophy may not be on him, but the QB development sure as shite is.

you are wasting time talking about a guy that's never been a hc.

Tom Herman never was a head coach either. He was a killer Offensive Coordinator and QB coach until Houston took a chance. Any other comebacks?

And now Hermann is a proven commodity. LSU needs to back the Brinks truck up to his doorstep.

David Cutcliffe
I don't want him, but I'm sure Alleva does.

Malzahn probably would run out of Auburn if given the chance
Bert is intriguing...has the personality for LSU
both improbable, Bert probably less so....lots of guy's would belly crawl over hot coal's for this job

First year HC? No thanks

Georgia is going to win the east and be much better than we are with a first year HC

Because of one game?

No, because of a better coach

Why do you think we lose O?
You think he'd be pissed if we offered a new comer over him for HC?
I don't really get that feeling. I think he loves recruiting, he loves LSU, and he doesn't really want the responsibility of being a HC. Wasn't he offered HC of Syracuse last year?
If he wants more responsibility, give him DC and have him ease into it with Arranda supervising.
I'm not against a mid season change.. but who takes over the offense? I assume Cam goes too.

a school like houston has no problem hiring coordinators. a big job like lsu is no place for learning on the job. and i doubt alleva will want to hire a coordinator anyway.

Clay Travis threw out some hypothetical choices (albeit, options with some baggage and character flaws) a few minutes ago.
1. Art Briles
2. Petrine
3. Kiffin
However, I think legitimately think that this was going to be Les's last year, regardless of the outcome, which is partially why Biracial Dave was hired as DC. Just speculation, but it doesn't seem that implausible.
