I think it's possible that our opponents' offensive linemen tried to hold, but you can't grab power like that--you gotta chop block it.

Did you not see the Florida Michigan Game?

Just to let you know, Michigan dominated.

Fla that really didnt have anything to be up for, and Michigan that had everything to play for. If you want to pull single games out like that, I simply say...APPY STATE! just know if the same LSU team shows up that did for Va Tech game, your team with the biggest motivation, and their best games of their lives wont stand a chance. Our best performance beats yours every time. BUT...people dont always play their best in bowl games, and this is why the game is played and why I wouldnt bet my house on either team.

holding on to a game that was played a year ago is more of a distraction than motivation. if you arent motivated for the national title, somethings wrong with you. this team was simply outmatched and outclassed and there was nothing they could do about it. the scenery is different, but the situation has not changed.

They only difference is that no one thought ND was any good last year, or the year before, or pretty much since 1993...
Wrong. Fat Charlie was the second coming of Jesus H. Christ himself and pretty boy Quinn was the 1st pick in the draft. Everyone in the media thought they were good (and so did ND themselves).

Chips on their shoulders, cow chips in their pants. I'm betting Miles has the team in a frame of mind that is confident but not dismissive of OSU.

What's more, this whole "LSU big favorite/OSU big underdog" thing is overblown. Yeah, the ESPN fan poll is overwhelmingly in our favor, but as far as the media, the so-called experts and the ESPN pundits (I mean pundicks) are concerned ... well, most of the jabber heads I've heard actually favor OSU. Seriously, if you polled all the media weenies LSU would be the underdog.

No matter what, I hope—and I'm sure—Miles is working to keep the players' heads on straight. We'll be fine.
