Looking for hotel near reliant. 2 adults 2 kids. I know nothing about Houston. I know it's short notice but tickets just became available yesterday.

You don't need a hotel near Reliant.

Take the Metro or whatever it is called.

Read my thread from a little while back. Consensus is to stay around downtown and take the rail to the stadium. It's cheap. Like a $1.25 one way.

I read that in other posts. Don't stay near the stadium.

Take Houston's version of MARTA.

The area around the stadium is a dump. Look downtown for hotels near the metro rail line. Take it to the stadium cheap.

Yeah, don't stay near reliant. Stay downtown or by the medical district and take the metro.

I second Hyatt Regency. That's where we booked about 1 month ago.

I'm at the Hyatt also. If you are in the lobby bar and see and LSU fan, scream Tiger Rant. I'd bet at least a few people will respond.

Don't say in the galleria. The hyatt is fine and just a walk from the metro rail, but it may cost you. Very popular hotel due to the size. 1000+ rooms. Don Shula's steak house restaurant inside. I have several buddies that work at that hotel. If you cant get a room their or its too pricy, try anything else downtown or you can even look in the medical center which is close and a quick cab ride wont be expensive. Hope this helps!
