Anyone else hear it? "Ground ball chopped back to the pitcher. Foul ball." I can only assume it went off the batter's foot. But no explanation from Jim and right back to calling. Lol. Not gonna be the same without him!

I heard him say that LSU wouldn't have to travel far next weekend if they won today.

On the last out, "He struck him out on 3 pitches". I believe the count was 1-2 when the batter swung & missed. Hawthorne will be missed ! What a great Tiger !

well, only three of the pitches thrown struck him out, so it works.

So you figured out what happened based on what he said?

This place will find any reason to hate on Hawthorne.

I don't think he was hating on Hawthorne, but it did seem like it was an understandable mistake. I've got no problem with calling out Hawthorne, but this seems like a non-story.

The better one was when he suggested Laird just let a ball that he called fair just drop to prevent the runner from tagging and going to second in the 8th.......... RR and Hanny both bout threw up .....

It wasn't a mistake. He called exactly what happened.
