Headed to Florida Game

Tiger Fans,
I’m traveling with my cousin from Houston (he lives there, I’m from Michigan – Go Blue) to Baton Rouge for the Florida game. As per yearly tradition, we choose a college game to attend. Last years’ game was a miserable Auburn/A&M slugfest in the driving rain at Kyle Field. We originally had tickets for the game in Gainesville but with Hurricane Matthew coming in, we jumped at the opportunity to see a game in Death Valley after it was rescheduled.
I’ve been a lifelong LSU Baseball fan – I played in college but was nowhere near LSU or SEC standards. But seeing the Box is at the top of my to-dos during our visit.
We plan to leave super early on Saturday morning to get there with a little time before kickoff to walk around and take everything in. Or possibly leaving on Friday night.
Any advice on things that are ‘must-sees’ while we’re down there? All topics are open for discussion (parking, tailgating, food/drink, etc.)

1.) Gates at Alex Box are typically left open so feel free to walk in and browse.
2.) Come back for a night game.

How did you all decide on FL v. LSU for an annual trip?

Your first experience at Tiger Stadium should not be for a noon game. Please reschedule your trip.

Is it confirmed that kick will be at noon? Seems strange for that weekend to put us at 12:00.

It's basically what fit into our schedules. I wanted to see Kyle Field last year so this year he wanted to go to the Swamp...that worked out well haha

unfortunately, this being a noon game will knock the tailgating down quite a bit. hopefully, the weather is nice and we still have some folks out, though since it is the last tailgating opportunity of the year. you are going to have to leave damn early to drive in that morning from Houston. I tailgate right around Alex box and will be glad to answer any specific questions, if you have them.
