With all the tailgating and family involvements, have you ever just went to a game by yourself? I did once in 1980 to a Tulane game. I had 2 tickets but my friend had a family emergency right at game time and no one wanted the ticket at the gate. I think the face value of the ticket was like 8 bucks.

I literally have the two of the best seats in the PMAC and struggle to find someone to go to the basketball games with me sometimes when Elleshoe has to work.

I have. More than once. Had a friend back out and couldn't find anyone else to go at the last minute.

I go to baseball games now alone as well. Mostly to get some peace and quiet.

Last season I went to Oxford the morning of the game by myself. Met up with people I knew for game day festivities and sat by people I knew for the game though.

I have. I was a bit of a loner back in college and went to several games by my self. I preferred to go with family/friends etc. but didn't mind being there alone either. "Alone" with 80,000 other fans is a bit of an ironic term though. However looking back at it now it was pretty sad.

I had great baseball tickets for a couple years. I couldn't find one person to go with me. Nobody ever wanted to go.

I was determined to go to the last Alex Box Regionals and Supers. Every game. I think I sat through the last regionals at the old box by myself...went to every game. Nobody else cared about going.

2003 NC game. I just wanted a ticket and was able to get one. Ended up knowing some folks around me though, but I really wasn't there to fraternize in the first place.

I actually prefer it. I like getting into the game with no distractions . And if I happen to be sitting next to someone who wants to yapp. I politely tell them to STFU.

Football, baseball and basketball, ive gone to each of these by myself. Im there to see the game, not to socialize. Ild rather go to a game by myself than not go at all.

I have done this a lot in my life.

My family has a lot of tickets, but 1 of them is solo on the West side. When we have lots of cousins/significant others in town I always volunteer to sit there. I love it actually.

Done it a few times. Peach Bowl '05 vs. Miami was probably the most recent.

same situation here, i don't mind it either, of course i'd rather be around family etc. but would rather they get the best experience possible knowing that its not an every weekend sort of thing for them. That's when I lived in BR though, now that i'm the out-of-towner i expect the same treatment
