Unless something bad happens, Bolden is most likely getting a red-shirt.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I don't see Bolden sticking around once he earns his degree

Don't see Boldin ever being the QB
He might need to try a move to WR and spring could be a chance to try that

Mettenberger Sr next year
Rivers as a Jr will have to fight off Jennings and Rettig as rs fr - if it is Rivers I could see Jennings used as a change of pace

Rivers is RS Fr this year, or at least I thought he was.

I didn't think he was athletic enough for that

I never saw Josh Dworacyk as our LT either. shite happens and it's always good to have insurance. Red-shirting Bolden would give him an extra year of eligibility over that of Rivers. We cannot count on Jennings and Rettig until they actually step onto campus and compete. There is not telling how they will turn out. Lee and Jefferson were also 4-star QB recruits at one point and look at how they turned out.

You do realize that he is a pocket passer and not a runner?

How is it, that through 10 games and 4 months, people are still asking the same questions?

If Bolden doesn't play, he gets a redshirt. Which would make Bolden a RS Junior, Rivers and Randall RS Sophomores next year.

Just because Bolden is black doesn't mean he's an athlete who could easily be moved to WR or TE.

Well then why was he brought in, you ask. Probably two-fold. Miles et al recruited him out of high school and wanted to help him get out of a bad situation at PSU. And if Mett were to get injured or leave for the NFL (unlikely at this point, but before the season started who knew), there is a QB on the roster who has at least started major D1 football games.

Ed for accuracy.

Doesn't mean much when JJ was considered a pocket passer in HS as well and you see how we used him
